7 Ways to Make a Little Money from Your Living Room Couch!

If you're a SAHM like me, you might be looking to make a little extra cash especially this time of year when we're all trying to pay for the holidays!  Many of the "work from home" sites promise the moon but few deliver.  And though there are telecommuting opportunities out there, if you don't have a dedicated home office and a babysitter, it's really hard to make a living that way.

But if you have a computer and internet access and maybe an hour to kill every day, you can make a little extra money without doing too much.  Here are some of my favorite sites that you can use to make money for your family:

1.  Swagbucks- Get Swagbucks which you can then redeem for prizes or gift cards for doing things like searching the internet, shopping online, taking surveys, watching short videos and completing offers online.  Many of the offers are free, don't require you to download anything to your PC and take less than 5 minutes to complete. You can also earn money by referring new members!

2.  MySurvey.com - Mysurvey is a free site that allows you to earn points for taking fun surveys and completing product trials.  They also have a great monthly giveaway every month!  You can redeem your points for paypal, payment by check, gift cards or prizes.  This is one of my favorite sites because I can get cash!!!!!

3.  Examiner.com - Love to write?  Become an Examiner for your city and write about things you are interested in.  You get paid for writing local content and having page views.  You can also earn money for referring new Examiners!

4.  Textbroker.com - Whether you are a professional writer or just love to write, use those skills to make a little extra cash.  On Textbroker, you submit articles based on orders listed by clients.  You may be writing about a current event or a product, you pick!  Very easy if you love to write.

5.  Pinecone Research - A invite only site that allows you to make money by filling out surveys and testing products at home.  Check back on my blog for when they are accepting new members!

6.  Mturk- Complete HITs (Human Intelligence Tasks) that can be anything from surveys to quick reviews and earn money.  You will be paid through Amazon Payments (think paypal).

7.  E-rewards -A suvey site that allows you to turn in the dollars you earn for gift certificates and products.  I use mine to buy magazines, get free game rentals for my son, and for Borders Bucks!!!!

Disclaimer:  Some of these links will net me money for referring you to the site.

Did you CyberMonday?

I know they say there are great deals to be had but I have to say-I didn't see them.  I had a few specific items I wanted and I didn't find anything yesterday that made me rush to buy.  I was looking for a new cellphone for me-I have my heart set on an EVO-lol and the price on both Sprint and Radio Shack was the same it was a few days ago.  I also wanted to buy a docking station with an alarm clock and radio for my daughter and didn't find any super discounts yesterday.  The other item I was researching was an Ipod for my son.  He wants an Ipod touch.  Again, didn't see anything to make me buy yesterday.

How about you?  Did you find any great bargains?  What did you buy?

Black Friday Deals-CVS and Walgreens

The day after Thanksgiving is typically one of the busiest shopping days of the year.  And if you are brave enough to stand in line outside your favorite retailer and prepared to shop til you drop, you can really rack up some good bargains that day.  I have never been that kind of shopper however.

One retailer I do like to visit for Black Friday deals is CVS.  They actually have a 3 day sale starting on Thanksgiving morning.  And if you can get there, it is worth it.  Last year I had company coming and was cooking for our first Thanksgiving in our new house so I didn't go.  However the two years prior I was there first thing and got a few bargains for myself as well as Christmas presents for others like a digital photo frame that with Extra Care Bucks, I spent nothing on.  This year my focus is going to be on some of the money makers they have.  (Read here for more on the CVS Extra Care Bucks program and how CVS pays you to shop!)

Listerine Pocket Packs will be on sale for $2.99 and for each one you buy, you earn $2.99 in ECB.  If you use the $1/1 coupon that was found in the 9/26 Red Plum insert, you not only got the item for free after ECB, you made $1! And those Listerine Pocket Packs will make good stocking stuffers for my family! (limit 2)

Another hot money maker is the Herbal Essence Shampoo and Conditioner.  They are on sale for $3.99 each and you earn a $3.99 ECB for every one you purchase (limit 2).  There is a $2/1 Clairol Family of Products coupon in the 10/31 P&G inserts.  Now your cashier may not want to take this coupon for the Herbal Essence, but Herbal Essence is made by Clairol so it should be accepted.  With the coupon and the ECB, you make $2 for every one you buy!

Another great stocking stuffer for my man will be the Gillette deodorant.  On sale for $4 with an ECB of $4 given, you can use the $2/1 Gillette deodorant coupon in the 10/31 P&G to make $2! (limit 1)

You can also get the Renpure Organics Shampoo or Conditioner for $4.99, earn $4.99 back in ECB and use the Renpure Mail-In Rebate to get your money back.  Forms have been found on the necks of the products!  Must be mailed in within 30 days of purchase!

With the ECB I earn from these deals, i want a rice cooker for myself! Those are on sale for $18.88 and give back a $10 ECB!

Walgreens also holds a 3 day sale starting on Thanksgiving morning.  Now I have been less enchanted with Walgreens since they did away with their rebate program.  However, other shoppers tell me they get some great deals at the retailer, so I am willing to give them another shot!

So far I don't see any deals that really excite me.  There is the Herbal Essence Shampoo and conditioner on sale for $2.49 each.  You will receive $1.50 back in Register Rewards.  Register Rewards can be used like cash on your next transaction.  With the $2/1 Clairol Family of products coupon from 10/31 P&G, you can make $1.01 (minus tax) on each.  These do have a limit of one Register Reward received per person, per transaction.

You can google Black Friday Walgreens or Black Friday CVS for more or check back here!
